Throughout the month of October, the works awarded at the 72nd Exhibition-Competition of traditional Aosta Valley craftsmanship will be the protagonists at the Bard Fort.
The 10th edition of the exhibition Le sommet de l’artisanat valdôtain, organized in collaboration with the Forte di Bard Association, will be inaugurated on Sunday 5 October, at 11.00 am, in the former chapel of San Maurizio del Forte and will remain open until 26 October 2025, from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00. During the exhibition, the 4 sculptures that were awarded at the fourth edition of the purchase prizes for traditional craftsmanship will also be exhibited.
The event pays homage to the artisans who have distinguished themselves for their savoir-faire, with careful historical and ethnographic research and attention to aspects of evolution in the choice and representation of the subjects depicted. The spirit of the competition is also to compare artisans with a lot of experience and other younger people who wish to compete and demonstrate their skills.
